People personally always thought I was an old man that really hasn't done anything in my lifetime, and I want to keep people thinking like that. Until the police hired me to shoot a dog for them because of my perfect aiming for a mad dog that may have rabies, and I shot the dog and it has died. Though, people accused Tom Robinson of rape probably because he is black. Though, in my opinion, he is doomed. He is innocent as I know, but he is in a court full of white people that don't like black people.

I have met Jem, and he's a pretty cool guy, his sister Scout is alright too. During the times have passed, Jem and I made a game of a guy that some people are afraid of. Boo Radley, as rumored in his childhood that he stabbed his father with a pair of scissors. It was obvious what the game was called, the Boo Radley game. I was dared to touch that house and it scared the heck out of me. Though, in my last day in Maycomb, I was trying to put a note in Boo Radley's window but I saw a shadowed man in a hat and it suddenly shot a shotgun. Everyone from the neighborhood heard it, I heard it myself, so I panicked and tried to get out there as fast as I could.

Ms.Caroline's point of view
What I feel about what is going on is quite terrible. I wanted to use a certain technique and since I moved here from another town, I wasn't very welcomed because of the student's selfishness and behavior. Ewell seemed to have some bad manners, and I tried to offer Walter some money but he had dozed off because I think he couldn't afford to play me back. Though, Scout, I had slapped her hand with a ruler. I feel that a handful of students have a bad attitude.

I think the message of this book is to tell you that to not give up on your dream. Be nice to people, and do good things and good things will happen to you also. Another theme I think is if you work hard enough, you can achieve a certain goal.
14. What other character(s) beside the main character is really important to the story? How and why?
A really important character to the book is Joy, which is Dan Millman's girlfriend/wife that he meets towards the middle of the book. Another character that is really important is the mentor that leads Dan Millman to his success in the Jumping world championships.

I would read another book by this author. Though, I don't actually know if he has another book published. His life is similar to mine, and for some reason, I like reading books of people that have similar personalities.
9. What is confusing in this book? Why? (Be specific)
There is almost nothing in this book that is confusing. Except some of the vocabulary is at a difficult level. I'm kind of confused on who the author was living with, or if he lived in a University or some kind of college. Though, I'm still reading the book. I'm going to read the first chapter again to get the story line.

RESPONSE 1: This book reminds me a lot about my life. The characters, and the story. Dan Millman, the main character of this book is really athletic and dreams big and won the World Championships for Trampoline. Dan Millman feels like he is missing something from his life, I also have that feeling also. I also dream big of winning a huge athletic event in the future.

RESPONSE 2: What I read today shocked me, the story lines, and the history behind Dan Millman. Reading about Dan Millman's achievement wants me to become more athletic and to help out others. I had gained less fear of the dark since he walked outside alone in the middle of the night to a local gas station.

Blog HW1 SM2: Way of a Peaceful Warrior
I have chosen to read a book outside of class, it is called Way of a Peaceful Warrior. It is by the author named Dan Millman. The reason I have chose to read this was because it is a new and challenging book for my age, well, not exactly new but new in my vision. A book that can be real to people and doesn't happen to people often or even sometimes. It is an interesting book because it is about a World Champion athlete named Dan Millman, a feeling that is haunting him that something is missing from his life. Beginning a spiritual odyssey.
