• What sign comes down from the grown up world?

There was an explosion from the sky, a plane shot down from World War II. There was a dead or unconscious pilot from the sky.

• Why aren’t the boys aware of it?

• Why are Sam ‘n Eric so terrified?

Because of the beastie, and how everybody is going to kill it or somewhat. It can be from the water basically, or the sky.

• How do Sam ‘n Eric describe the beast?


• What is the attitude of the boys when going off to look for the beast?

There is some agreeing and some disagreeing, Jack is telling the people to charge at the beast with spears and don't think about anything else. Ralph is telling people to think of a game plan, do the job smart, and protect the littluns.

• Is there really a beast? How do you know?

The isn't a beast, the littluns think there is something out there. Though, they overreact and start imagining things when they hear a single sound.

Do you feel that you are still the strongest leader on this island?

Because I have the conch, and I was chosen to be leader. If people chose me, then I am what I am.

What kind of pressures and stress do you feel as the leader responsible for the boys?

It's a lot of stress, handling the littuns and everybody here. Especially when everybody doesn't follow the rules when everything could have been much better for all of us. I feel responsible, that's why I called the assembly.
